Job description

Augusta Health is seeking a night shift PRN patient care technician

  • Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, performs various duties assisting unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care following established procedures.
  • Includes bathing, dressing and feeding of patients, performing vital signs, phlebotomy and Ekg's.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Example: Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine).
  • Completion of 1st semester of clinical rotations in an RN program preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant in Virginia preferred.
  • Previous acute care hospital work experience preferred.
