All about the role:

The Senior Accountant reviews and performs accounting activities, supports audits, while assisting the Accounting Manager in ensuring accurate records, policy compliance, and strong internal controls.

Where you'll be:

This role is located in Puerto Rico, onsite.

What you'll do:

  • Technical guidance to Finance Team in Puerto Rico to ensure the performance of Financial Statements.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting schedules.

  • Review journal entries prepared by the Jr. Accountant.

  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation.

  • Perform financial variance analysis and reporting support.

  • Coordinate audit activities with external auditors (PwC).

  • Manage audit documentation and audit request tracking.

  • Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely responses to audit inquiries.

  • Internal Controls action plan implementation.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

  • Reviewing accounting documentation and reconciliation support.

  • Support with internal control testing and documentation.

  • Review operational accounting activities and identify potential issues.

  • Support complex accounting transactions and adjustments.

  • Assist in resolving reconciliation differences.

  • Support with the automation and improvement of accounting processes.

  • Standardize reporting and reconciliation procedures.

  • Improve documentation and audit readiness.

  • Prepare Flash reporting and operational templates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance and related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience related to accounting cycles, including accounting operations, financial processes, and bookkeeping functions.

  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver effective presentations.

  • Highly autonomous and detail-oriented professional capable of working accurately, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, adaptable to flexible and fast-paced work environments.

  • Results-driven problem solver with the ability to identify, recommend, and implement operational improvements while supporting organizational efficiency and growth.
