Administrative Assistant - 2026
Department: Administration

Behind the scenes in every successful business are the accountants and office staff that support the entire organization. As an administrative assistant, you perform a variety of support tasks that help the management team and multiple departments. You work closely with the Administration Manager on tasks to help recognize top-performing employees and celebrate our accomplishments. You also play a role in auditing and verifying transactions within the accounting world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Daily reconciliation data entry based on all onboard train sales from several departments.
  • Organize, scan, upload and maintain supporting documents for audits.
  • Maintain records and files in accordance with company procedures and policies.
  • Complete daily rounds with the administration team, retrieving daily accounting paperwork and banks/deposits, in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Input data and maintain records for the safety program.
  • Communicate with multi-levels of leadership for operational updates and events.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs./11kg.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
