We're currently seeking anInternal Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit practice in the Greater Chicago Area. If you're ready to lead client engagements and grow your career in a people-first advisory firm, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As an Internal Audit Manager, you'll lead high-impact engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to manufacturing and consumer clients. Your day-to-day may include:
  • Planning and leading internal audit and operational audit engagements from scoping through reporting
  • Serving as the primary client contact and managing relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle
  • Supervising and mentoring Seniors and Associates; reviewing workpapers and deliverables
  • Delivering clear, client-ready reports and presentations that communicate risks, impacts, and recommendations
  • Managing engagement economics, including budgets, utilization, and resourcing
  • Applying SOX, COSO, and internal control frameworks to operational environments
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities and supporting proposal development
  • Collaborating across DLA teams to deliver consistent, high-quality client service

What You'll Bring
We know great candidates don't all look the same, but successful Managers at DLA typically bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of internal audit experience, with exposure to manufacturing and/or consumer clients
  • Strong knowledge of operational audits, SOX, COSO, and internal controls
  • Professional services or consulting experience (strongly preferred)
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple engagements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CPA preferred; other relevant certifications are a plus
