Job description

Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Post-Production and Multimedia Specialist to provide Public Affairs support for the Department of Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA). This is a Contingent Hire position.

Position Summary
This position handles post-production editing and multimedia project support for the office. The employee edits video and audio content and helps develop multimedia products. The role is hybrid, with on-site availability needed to assist during studio production days. This is a contractor position. The PAO runs the office and directs its mission; the contractor's work products are services that support the PAO and the overall OAPMP mission.
Position Type: Full-Time Contractor
Work Location: Hybrid (approximately 50% remote / 50% on-site).
Work Schedule: Full-time
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Key Responsibilities
  • Edit video and audio content for final production.
  • Add graphics, titles, and effects to video projects as needed.
  • Manage media files and maintain an organized production archive.
  • Support the development of multimedia products such as short videos, audio pieces, and other digital content.
  • Assist in the studio on production days, supporting recordings in Studio 1 and live broadcasts or virtual conferences in Studio 2.
  • Coordinate with other team members on production timelines and deliverables.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience with video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere or similar).
  • Experience with audio editing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for remote and in-person collaboration.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to translate content owners' vision and requests into finished productions.
  • Interest in and willingness to use new technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and quality of work, consistent with VA-approved tools and guidance.
