Description
Duties
Assisting AVT Staff with classroom audio-visual equipment problems. Performing periodic Preventative Maintenance (cleaning) of the audio-visual equipment in the classrooms (on and off-campus locations) and inventory. Computer cart set-ups & and retrievals on campus. Assisting with equipment installation in classrooms. Support of campus events (equipment set-ups, teardowns, and providing technical support). Videotaping of ceremonies and events on campus. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE FALL 2026 SEMESTER.
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS.
UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.
Additional requirements: A valid Driver's License is preferred with an acceptable driving record. Must have computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Videography and editing skills are helpful. Must be able to assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and operation of audio-visual equipment. Must be able to lift & and carry up heavy equipment and be comfortable using a ladder.
