Job description

ASRC Federal Data Network Technologies has a great opportunity for a Jr Audio/Video Technician to join our team in Rockville, MD where we support the NIH (National Institutes of Health).

Work Location: 3 weeks in Rockville, MD and one week in Bethesda, MD  

Job Summary: 

This role is to facilitate conference room meeting support and hybrid meeting support on-site at the NCI Rockville and Bethesda locations in Montgomery County, MD. The responsibilities include performing on-site maintenance activities for NCI Conference space, working with NCI client to understand their meeting needs, participating and facilitating testing/dry runs of meetings, and supporting NCI meeting needs.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of technical support experience in audio/visual technologies.
  • Experience supporting telephony, video, network and/or other collaboration devices
  • Experience using ticketing system (prefer ServiceNow)
  • Experience providing customer service and end user support
  • Strong proven record learning new technologies and support
  • Strong written and oral communications required
  • Ability to work core hours Monday-Friday between 7AM to 6 PM
  • Ability to work on-site daily at various sites in Montgomery County, MD
  • Permanent Residency or US Citizenship required for the government background investigation

Responsibilities:

  • Provide audio/visual meeting support for federal customer
  • Daily conference room checks: verify all equipment is online, functioning and charged
  • Daily meeting support: hands on technical support resource for customers for all conference room meeting needs
  • Video & Audio Support using NCI Equipment
  • Support the WebEx / Zoom / MS Teams VTC Platforms
  • Room computer and Laptop connectivity
  • Supports customer during meetings; support includes video teleconferencing, video display of laptops and/or room computer presentations, WebEx setup, etc.
  • Logs all transactions with customers in ServiceNow
