REPORTS TO: Audio Visual Manager

STATUS: Non- Exempt Hourly

LOCATION: Ft. Lauderdale

You will:

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of all A/V equipment at the Ft. Lauderdale Campus
  • Assist in the set up and running sound and visuals for weekly events including Church Services, Special Events, Ministry Events, funerals, memorials, adult education, womenโ€™s ministry, various other church functions throughout the week
  • Help train current and new AV volunteers
  • Provide education, training and expertise to all audio technicians and volunteers
  • Operate, set up, and maintain audio and visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, microphones, and other equipment as needed
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
  • Provide technical support
  • Help maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs
  • Ensure that all audio and visual equipment is up to safety standard

You have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills , interacting with church body and staff professionally and well spoken
  • Technological skills of computer, sound and lighting equipment
  • Willingness to learn about sound, lighting and video equipment and software
  • The ability to take direction and work with very little supervision
  • Flexibility with good time management skills

What you are required to know:

  • We are an EEO employer.
  • You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 75lbs.
  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week) hourly non-exempt position.
  • You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.

Work Schedule:

Staff culture is important to what we do. To love like family, we require all staff to attend all staff meetings, department meetings and serve with a willing heart especially at all major campus events. You will be expected to work weekends as well as Major Holidays like Christmas, and Easter Full time (40 hours/week)
