Job description

Who Are we?

As a world-leading provider of workplace technology, Ricoh is all about improving work life by providing better user experiences, optimised workflows, anytime anywhere collaboration, and digitalinfrastructuresolutions.

At Ricoh, we harness the infinite potential of the collective imagination as our daily pursuit. Embracing a culture of openness, we welcome all ideas. Our purpose is to shape the future of work and the sustainability of our world and use its infinite potential to truly imagine change.

Is this the role for you?

This is not a typical pre-sales role.

As a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, you'll own the solution design process end-to-end from discovery through to proposal creating best-in-class hybrid workplace AV solutions that seamlessly integrate technology, user experience, and business outcomes.

You'll blend technical depth, commercial awareness, and client engagement to deliver solutions that stand out in a competitive market. This role reports to the National Pre-Sales Manager and works hand-in-hand with our Sales teams nationally.

What You'll Do

  • Lead solution discovery sessions to deeply understand client business needs, environments, and user experience requirements
  • Design complex, scalable AV and hybrid workplace solutions (meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, digital workplaces, and integrated environments)
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOM), and scope and design documentation
  • Act as the technical lead through the sales process, supporting opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and proposal development
  • Partner closely with Sales to craft compelling, winning solutions and presentations
  • Run client presentations, workshops, and solution walkthroughs
  • Attend client sites to validate designs, perform assessments, and confirm solution alignment
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging AV and hybrid workplace technologies

What Success Looks Like

You'll be measured on the win rates you contribute to, the quality and accuracy of your solution designs, and the technical credibility you bring to client engagements. Success in this role means Sales sees you as the partner who turns complex requirements into winning, deliverable solutions.

Our Technology Ecosystem

You'll design across leading collaboration and AV platforms, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Crestron, Cisco, Logitech, Q-SYS, Biamp. Experience across several of these will see you hit the ground running.

To be successful in this role:

  • 5+ years' experience in Pro AV / Audio Visual environments (essential)
  • Background in Pre-Sales, Solutions Architecture, or Design Engineering
  • Strong capability designing integrated AV systems across the platforms above
  • A track record of creating clear, detailed technical diagrams and documentation
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting proposals and winning work
  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused outcomes

Desirable

  • Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS / CTS-D, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Rooms, cisco collaboration certs or relevant vendor accreditations

Why You'll Want This Role

You'll have genuine ownership of the solutions you design, the backing of a national team, and the variety of working across industries and environments, no two clients the same. If you enjoy being the person who makes the technical vision real, this is for you.

What we give back to you?

At Ricoh, we take pride in giving back for your contribution to our success. We offer a range of benefits including:

  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Purchased Leave Scheme
  • Participationin our RedErecognition program
  • Free income protection cover
