We design, install and service high-tech systems and solutions that help people communicate - everything from TVs and sound systems to video conferencing, control systems and cabling that connects it all. What Will Your Day Look Like? You will
  • Assist the Lead Tech in the set-up of complete AV systems based on a project's scope of work, within the expected timeframe and to the company's workmanship standards. Typical duties include:
  • Running wire and cabling
  • Assists in the hanging and installing of equipment (i.e. monitors, speakers, equipment racks, etc.)
  • Gathers and organizes equipment, parts and tools needed for the install project
  • Collects unused parts/equipment to put back into inventory
  • Keeps vehicle and worksite clean and disposes of all trash
  • Timely reports on-site risks and issues to the Lead Tech to ensure efficient resolution to meet a project's timeline and budget
  • Keeps track of time spent on each job assignment and accurately reports this information through the company's established system
  • Other duties as assigned

To be considered for this position, you should have:
Prefer 1+ years' experience working on low voltage systems and using various techniques to pull wire and cable is highly desirable. Experience in the audio, video, and lighting installation is helpful but not required. Experience can include:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and decipher blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Skilled in soldering technique

Must also have:
  • Stable work history with an excellent attendance record
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly process information, follow directions and perform quality work
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a team environment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets the company's insurance standards
  • Must be able to travel to job sites in assigned region. Some projects are located outside of the Thomasville area and require overnight travel over multiple days (between 20 - 40% of time)
  • Work hours are typically Monday - Friday; however, overtime and weekend work may be required to meet job deadlines

What is the work environment like?
This position requires the ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach and push with hands and arms. Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance. Work requires the ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders, and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required to install equipment. Work requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds on a daily basis. Will periodically work in non-climate-controlled environments.
