Who you are: 

Friendly. Curious. Passionate about electronics. Great with tools. Ready to go the extra mile. As an A/V Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for installing and configuring audio visual equipment in homes and commercial settings. Your technical expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients enjoy a seamless and immersive audiovisual experience.


Training:

Don’t worry if you don’t have A/V installation experience, we offer paid apprenticeships with hands-on training alongside experienced A/V technicians. Most apprentices complete the program in 6–12 months and transition into full technician roles.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist with installs and configuration of audiovisual equipment, including but not limited to, televisions, projectors, sound systems, and smart home automation systems.

Assist with cable management, routing, and concealment for a clean and professional appearance.

Learn to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with A/V systems.

Collaborate with clients to understand their specific installation needs and provide personalized solutions.

Train clients on the proper use and maintenance of their audiovisual systems.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
 

Qualifications:

Interest or experience installing home A/V products

Eagerness to build technical knowledge and a willingness to put in the effort to develop news skills

Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

Ability to follow instructions clearly and work well as part of a team

Ability to identify problems and find ways to resolve challenges

Ability to use computer and necessary software

Ability to use hand tools

Ability to lift up to 75lbs

Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

CEDIA, AVIXA, Control 4 and Crestron certifications are a plus but not required.


Schedule:

Hours are generally Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM. Occasional overtime and weekend work is required.


Salary and Advancement:

Apprenticeships start at $17.50/hour. In addition to hourly wages, apprentice installers participate in a monthly incentive program and earn a portion of the labor dollars generated from the installs they perform. This performance-based compensation rewards productivity and quality workmanship.

After completing the apprenticeship, installers gain valuable experience, demonstrate proficiency, and have opportunities for continued advancement and increased earnings. We offer a structured career path with opportunities to advance from Installer Level 1 through Installer Level 3, with the opportunity to progress further into the Residential System Technician role.
