About the Role
Are you passionate about transforming technology into seamless, intelligent experiences? We're looking for an experienced Audio-Visual Programmer to join our Raleigh team and help design, program, and deliver world-class AV systems that bring people and spaces together.
In this role, you'll take the lead on developing and implementing control and DSP programming across complex AV environments-partnering with design, integration, and project management teams to ensure every system performs flawlessly. Your expertise will turn technical blueprints into intuitive, high-performing solutions that connect, communicate, and inspire.
What You'll Do - Program with Precision. Deliver with Impact.
  • Design & Prepare: Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure every AV system is program-ready, functional, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Program with Excellence: Develop and implement control system code for Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, and other leading platforms. Build and fine-tune audio DSP configurations for Biamp, QSC, BSS, ClearOne, and similar systems.
  • Integrate Seamlessly: Partner with field installation teams to ensure your code works hand-in-hand with system design and installation standards.
  • Test & Commission: Conduct thorough system testing, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure every project achieves full functionality before handoff.
  • Document Everything: Create and maintain organized programming documentation, including source code, touch panel templates, and user interface files.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work cross-functionally with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure technical alignment, client satisfaction, and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to Innovation: Stay current with emerging AV technologies and control platforms to continuously improve system design and programming quality.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in AV system programming and DSP configuration.
  • Proficiency in Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, or similar control systems.
  • Proven experience with unified collaboration systems such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and IP-based AV integration.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevations.
  • Deep understanding of audio DSP, video routing, control logic, and system commissioning.
  • Certifications strongly preferred: Crestron Certified Programmer, Extron Control Professional, Biamp TesiraForte or QSC Q-SYS Programmer, AVIXA CTS (CTS-D preferred)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Visio, or Stardraw for documentation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Why Join Us?
  • Impact: Your programming expertise will define how people experience technology every day.
  • Collaboration: Partner with designers, engineers, and integrators who share your drive for excellence.
  • Growth: Build your technical mastery in a company that values innovation, learning, and advancement.
  • Culture: Be part of a team that believes in craftsmanship, curiosity, and doing the job right.
  • Reward: Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AV technologies.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based with occasional site visits for commissioning or client meetings.
  • Regular sitting, standing, and computer-based work.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Work may take place in active construction environments; safety awareness is essential.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
