Job description

A leading global automotive organization is seeking a Test Engineer to support the development and validation of infotainment-related hardware systems. This role sits within the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) division and focuses on audio and reception components, including amplifiers, speakers, and antenna systems.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end hardware validation role responsible for ensuring components meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards from concept through mass production. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical testing fundamentals, analytical thinking, and the ability to work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review technical requirements for audio and reception components
  • Support supplier sourcing activities, including RFQs, technical evaluations, and selection
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure design compliance and performance targets are met
  • Conduct validation and confirmation testing for hardware components (amplifiers, speakers, antennas)
  • Set up and execute lab and vehicle-based testing (static and dynamic environments)
  • Analyze test data to identify performance gaps, failure modes, and design risks
  • Investigate and support resolution of issues arising during validation, production, or field performance
  • Document test results, findings, and recommendations through technical reports and presentations
  • Support continuous improvement of validation processes and testing methodologies
  • Interface with internal engineering teams and stakeholders to drive design improvements and countermeasures

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years of experience in test engineering or electrical validation (flexible for strong candidates)
  • Hands-on experience with hardware/electrical testing and validation
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and test methodologies
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Ability to interpret technical data and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous automotive or military experience in testing.
  • Experience with audio systems, RF/reception systems, or infotainment components
  • Automotive industry experience (nice to have, not required)
  • Background in RF testing, diagnostics, or network communication systems
  • Familiarity with tools such as Vector CANalyzer or similar diagnostic tools
  • Experience with vehicle-level testing or validation environments
