Overview

Audio Video Tech – The Events Company

This position is responsible for the set up and operation within The Post Oak Hotel of basic/small –scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, while ensuring complete client satisfaction. This position reports to AV Operations Manager.


Responsibilities
  • Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of general audio visual equipment to include but not limited to; projection, flipcharts, basic audio systems, lighting, etc.
  • Must be able to read house plans other job site related documentation.
  • Basic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standards. Trouble shooting skills are essential.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent with in house job management software. Attention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement & system wiring. Objective: To provide excellent quality of installation & customer experience while meeting industry standards and completing assigned projects on time and under budget. Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment
  • Daily job site cleanliness and adherence to builder site requirements
  • On call rotation maybe required
  • Local travel to job sites required
  • Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
  • Flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours

Qualifications
  • HS Diploma
  • 3+ years of experience AV experience
  • 1+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand/stoop for extended periods
  • Must be able to work in tight spaces and at ladder height.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Background Check Required
  • Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
