GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Entry-level position which is primarily responsible for providing customer service and office support to the Clerk & Recorder’s office. This position provides on-the-job training in relation to the Recording office and other customer service duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Customer Service and Vital Office Support

  • Provides customer service to the public on a variety of Recording office transactions including receiving and checking documents for accuracy, data entry, making copies, emailing, researching older documents, real estate record management database searches, and others. Customer service duties include answering telephones and responding to questions.
  • Receives on-the-job training on real estate transactions and assists with applications for birth and death records. Processes incoming documents for entry into permanent public record.
  • Completes daily data entry tasks, paying close attention to detail.
  • Completes payment processing in DRIVES system and basic cash handling duties and end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Responsible for miscellaneous office support duties that are administrative in nature.

Other duties as assigned.
