Our mission is to produce music that encourages, uplifts, and positively impacts listeners while supporting artists who are passionate about their faith and their craft.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and versatile In-House Audio Engineer / Producer to join our creative team in Palm Beach, Florida.

This is a hybrid creative and technical role responsible for producing records, engineering sessions, and helping shape Summit's signature sound while supporting the development of Christian artists.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, artist-friendly, collaborative, and passionate about creating release-ready music. Beyond technical ability, we're looking for someone excited about contributing to a faith-driven mission and helping build a Christian music company from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer, record, edit, mix, and assist in mastering music projects.
  • Produce and arrange tracks across multiple genres, including Christian Contemporary, worship, pop, hip-hop, R&B, rock, country, electronic, and alternative.
  • Collaborate with artists, songwriters, and creative teams throughout the production process.
  • Assist with vocal production, comping, tuning, and session organization.
  • Operate and maintain studio equipment, DAWs, plugins, microphones, and recording systems.
  • Support artist development, arrangement decisions, and creative direction.
  • Maintain organized sessions and professional studio workflows.
  • Help shape Summit Music Group's signature sound and long-term music catalog.
  • Support live recording sessions and additional studio logistics.
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and professional studio environment.
  • Work alongside Christian artists to create music that aligns with Summit Music Group's faith-based mission.

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of professional audio engineering and/or music production experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or similar DAWs.
  • Experience working across multiple music genres.
  • Strong understanding of recording signal flow, microphones, acoustics, and studio workflows.
  • Musical training strongly preferred (piano/keyboard proficiency is a plus).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Audio engineering background preferred over beat-production-only experience.
  • Strong creative instincts with a builder mindset.
  • A genuine appreciation for Christian music and alignment with Summit Music Group's mission.
  • Passion for helping artists create music that inspires, encourages, and reflects Christian values.

Preferred Experience

  • Professional recording studio experience.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital recording equipment.
  • Experience supporting artist development and songwriting collaboration.
  • Experience with worship, Christian Contemporary, or faith-based music is a plus.
  • Familiarity with live sound or performance environments.

Compensation

  • Flexible compensation based on experience.
  • Salary, retainer, or per-project options available.
  • Potential production fees, master participation, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Full-time preferred; flexible arrangements may be considered.

Why Join Summit Music Group?

  • Help build an emerging Christian music company dedicated to creating music that makes a lasting impact.
  • Work directly with artists who are passionate about faith, creativity, and excellence.
  • Shape the sound and culture of a growing Christian music label.
  • Ground-floor opportunity with significant long-term growth potential.
  • Be part of building meaningful music, lasting artist careers, and a mission that extends beyond entertainment.
