Experience with digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Pro Tools or Logic Pro, along with knowledge of microphones and mixing consoles, is commonly expected. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and effective communication help interns collaborate with teams and adapt to fast-paced studio environments. These skills are crucial for ensuring high-quality audio production and for building a successful career in the audio industry.

What are some common responsibilities and learning opportunities in an audio internship?

As an audio intern, you can expect to assist with a variety of tasks such as setting up and breaking down equipment, supporting audio engineers during recording or live events, managing cables, and organizing session files. You'll often get hands-on experience with industry-standard software and hardware, and may also shadow professionals during editing, mixing, or mastering sessions.
