Job Summary:

Operations Manager / Morning Show Host: this position will oversee the daily technical, programming, & administrative functions of our radio stations, ensuring seamless on-air broadcasting, regulatory compliance (FCC) and equipment functionality. The Operations Manager will also host a daily morning show designed to inform, entertain, & accompany listeners during their mourning routine. We need a person with a strong, authentic chemistry to deliver a mix of news, weather, pop culture, interviews and comedy segments, while also being able to do remote broadcasts from businesses in our coverage area. This is a live and local position that requires you to be based in the Ord community.

Key duties include:

  • Programming & Content:Managing on-air operations, live & voice-tracking, and creating/producing station imaging and promos.
  • Technical Operations:Maintaining audio production equipment, managing automation systems and music scheduling (e.g., Skyla / Music One), and ensuring high-quality, continuous on-air sound.
  • Compliance & Licensing:Ensuring all broadcasts meet FCC regulations, including maintaining public files and managing legal identification.
  • Staff Management:Scheduling, training, and supporting board operators, on-air talent, and play-by-play announcers.
  • Strategic Planning:Collaborating with management on equipment acquisition, and audience growth strategies.
