Job Summary
Purdue University's award-winning in-house marketing agency, Purdue Brand Studio, is seeking a Multimedia Producer to advance the university's video storytelling and bring bold, inspiring ideas to life.
As a Multimedia Producer, you will oversee projects from start to finish, guiding the full production process including concept development, storyboarding, scouting, casting, shooting, editing and post-production. This hands-on role requires strong creative vision paired with technical expertise, as you will be actively operating cameras, setting up productions, and editing content for social, digital, and broadcast platforms in both short- and long-form formats. Success in this role requires the ability to balance multiple projects and competing deadlines, to incorporate feedback thoughtfully, and to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and partners across the university. You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of production processes, ensuring the highest standards for audio, multi-camera shoots, and post-production workflows, while helping to identify innovative approaches to storytelling that connect with a range of audiences. The ideal candidate will bring experience in both traditional and emerging content formats, with a particular strength in producing vertical video for platforms like Instagram Reels, Tik Tok, and YouTube. Skills in motion graphics and animation are highly valued, as is FAA Part 107 drone certification. A proven record of creative problem solving, adaptability, and collaborative spirit will be essential.

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in video production, including using cameras, microphones, and lighting; field and studio work; social media and digital content creation; photography; videography; audio production; or project management
  • In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience; Associate's + 4 years' experience or HS/GED + 6 years of experience.

Skills:
  • A natural visual storyteller that thrives on creating real, authentic stories of students, faculty and alumni. Skilled in content creation, scripting, storyboarding, videography, audio production and digital asset software systems
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition, or Davinci Resolve, Macs or PCs, and Microsoft Office.
