Job description

The Attractions Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of attractions while providing an enjoyable guest experience. This role requires adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures to maintain a secure and engaging environment for all guests. 

- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Attraction Operations & Safety: 

  • Operate assigned attractions only when certified through on-the-job training. 
  • Ensure attractions are operated in accordance with company policies, procedures, and state/federal safety regulations. 
  • Explain and enforce attraction rules, including age and height restrictions. 
  • Maintain and issue proper equipment required for each attraction. 
  • Monitor attractions continuously during operation, ensuring proper control and guest safety. 
  • Assist guests in entering and exiting attractions safely. 

Security & Emergency Response: 

  • Prevent unauthorized personnel from starting rides or assisting guests. 
  • Inspect attractions and report any mechanical or electronic issues to management immediately. 
  • Report any emergency matters to the supervisor or manager on duty without delay. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong attention to safety and detail. 
  • Ability to follow company policies and regulatory guidelines. 
  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests and enforce attraction rules. 
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach. 

Education and Experience: 

Required: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Prior experience in guest service or attraction operations is a plus. 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience in the guest service industry, with demonstrated ability to ensure customer satisfaction and handle guest concerns is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to calculate and count, read, and comprehend.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through.
    • Demonstrated ability to see, hear, talk clearly, and write legibly. Bilingual is a plus.
    • Ability to represent the best face of the organization to the public.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: 

This role requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly, as well as full dexterity and agility to maneuver in tight spaces. It involves standing and walking for long periods, bending, squatting, gripping small objects, and pushing or pulling heavy items. The work environment includes high noise levels and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions. The position requires availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The pay rate for this position is $17.00 to $17.50 per hour.
