Introduction
If you believe in real criminal justice reform and the core values of fairness, honesty, and integrity, come join our team. The Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney for Prince William County, Cities of Manassas & Manassas Park is looking for Senior Assistant Commonwealth's Attorneys.
About the Role:
Our office values Community Involvement, Work-life Balance, and Professional Development. As an experienced prosecutor you will be assigned to one of five units: Violent Crimes, Special Investigations, Domestic Violence, Juvenile Offenders, or Special Victims. The position reports directly to their unit's Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney. Duties will include overseeing daily dockets that are not otherwise assigned, handling a full caseload at all levels of Court, and responding to calls and questions from citizens, law enforcement, and defense counsel.
Preferences:
Position requires a Juris Doctorate degree and five or more years of related experience. The selected applicant must: be skilled at legal research and writing; be able to work both independently and collaboratively in an office that values civility, initiative, sound judgment and skilled advocacy.
Special Requirements:
Must be a member of the Virginia State Bar in good standing

Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annual
Summary of Benefits:
Prince William County Government offers medical plans with corresponding pharmacy and basic vision coverage, as well as dental plans and a separate vision plan.
Full-time and part-time Prince William County Government employees are eligible to participate in our plans; however, the level and cost of benefits depends on the classification of the position.
