Job description

On Point Hospitality is seeking a reliable, friendly person for a Host / Hostess position. This position is specifically for night time (dinner) hours. We are looking for people with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and people who take pride in their work. Hospitality and making guests happy is the number one focus of this position.

We own and operate the restaurants Yellowbelly and Lazy Tiger in the Central West End, as well as our new restaurant Extra Wavy, near Lafayette Square and Downtown West. We are a locally owned, independent restaurant group. This is a young company that is looking for people who want to grow within a great environment over a long period of time.

We have health insurance and benefits available to full time employees.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work Nights (dinner shifts). We are open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday nights, as well as Saturday brunch.
  • A person with a great attitude and work ethic, and gets along with co-workers.
  • Must be friendly, and focused on hospitality towards guests as well as co-workers.
  • Ability to work at a fast-pace in high-stress situations, while remaining calm.

We are small, locally owned Restaurant group in St. Louis. We opened our first restaurant, Retreat Gastropub in 2015 (we no longer own this restaurant).

Yellowbelly opened in 2018, and we expanded with an additional cocktail bar named Lazy Tiger in 2020. When we opened, we were listed as One of the Best New Restaurants according to Sauce Magazine, Feast Magazine, Ian Froeb & St. Louis Post Dispatch, Riverfront Times, and St. Louis Magazine.

Extra Wavy is a modern american restaurant and raw bar that opened in October 2025. It was quickly recognized as one of the best new restaurants of the year by Ian Froeb and the St. Louis Post Dispatch, as well as others. It is located in the building that used to have PW Pizza and Vin de Set.

We own and operate the restaurant Yellowbelly and the cocktail bar Lazy Tiger (which is connected to Yellowbelly), both are located in the Central West End in St. Louis. Extra Wavy is our new restaurant opening Fall 2026.
