How You'll Contribute:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain network security policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Deploy and configure Cisco security appliances, Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Zscaler infrastructure to fortify a strong network across the organization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand the business and technological needs of unique application infrastructure across a diverse cloud, on premise, and SaaS environment ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Identify areas for improvement in security processes, policies, and technologies and drive initiatives to enhance security effectiveness.
  • Deploy, maintain availability of various security technology's including intrusion prevention systems (IPS), web application firewalls (WAF), and provide engineering support to network detection and response solutions.
  • Implement and manage network security monitoring tools for real-time threat detection and response.
  • Optimize security configurations to support business specific performance needs while retaining resilience against emerging threats.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline security testing, validation processes, and repetitive or daily tasks.
  • Keep up to date with new and evolving security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
  • Assume accountability for projects, propose innovative solutions, and actively steer them to successful completion.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related academic field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in information security, with a focus in network security including firewall and secure perimeter technology.
  • Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of industry security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Experience with broad range of security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, CASB, CSPM, EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, WAF).
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell and Shell.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with engineering, operations and infrastructure teams.
  • Experience working with cloud native networking and security solutions found in Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with modern container orchestration technology.
  • Experience with modern Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Creativity and critical thinking with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to serve as a mentor or subject matter expert to other members within the organization.
