Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ATM Lead to drive the ATM Future-State Strategy as part of a broader Cash Management modernization initiative. This functional and technical leadership role requires deep expertise in ATM operations, self-service technologies, and financial services modernization. The ideal candidate will define the future-state ATM strategy, facilitate executive stakeholder workshops, assess current ATM ecosystems, and develop strategic recommendations aligned with enterprise modernization initiatives, API-driven architectures, and member experience objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the ATM Future-State Strategy workstream as part of an integrated Cash Management modernization initiative.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the ATM scope and ensure alignment with the broader Cash Management Discovery program.
• Assess the current ATM environment, including fleet composition, governance models, operational processes, technology landscape, and existing challenges.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to establish the future-state ATM vision.
• Define the future member self-service experience, including cash access, transaction capabilities, and channel consistency.
• Evaluate strategic tradeoffs related to member experience, operating costs, governance models, and ecosystem complexity.
• Develop an actionable ATM Future-State Strategy aligned with enterprise modernization initiatives and cloud-first architecture principles.
• Define future operational models, governance structures, and ownership considerations across multiple ATM deployment models.
• Create strategic decision frameworks outlining implementation options, risks, benefits, and executive decision points.
• Develop high-level execution roadmaps aligned with enterprise modernization and technology strategies.
• Ensure ATM strategy recommendations integrate with the overall Cash Management operating model and implementation roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support modernization, vendor evaluation, and strategic planning initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in ATM operations, channel strategy, self-service technologies, or financial services technology.
• Extensive experience with ATM ecosystems, including branch-attached, remote/off-premise, network, and shared ATM environments.
• Strong knowledge of ATM hardware platforms, switching infrastructure, monitoring platforms, and ATM software technologies.
• Experience designing ATM operating models, including governance, cash replenishment, maintenance strategies, and service level management.
• Strong understanding of ATM member experience, including self-service capabilities, deposit automation, cardless transactions, accessibility, and cash management.
• Experience with ATM integration architectures, including host connectivity, switching platforms, card processing networks, and API-based integration models.
• Knowledge of cloud-first architecture principles, API-driven platforms, and modern enterprise integration patterns.
• Understanding of ATM integration with core banking platforms, teller systems, and enterprise cash management solutions.
• Experience evaluating system dependencies, enterprise architecture, and data flows within ATM and branch ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise ATM strategies balancing customer experience, operational efficiency, governance, and modernization objectives.
• Experience facilitating executive workshops, stakeholder interviews, and strategic planning sessions.
• Ability to develop executive-ready strategic recommendations, tradeoff analyses, and decision frameworks.
• Experience working within large financial institutions or credit union environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating across multiple concurrent workstreams in consulting or advisory engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with credit union ATM ecosystems, including CO-OP Financial Services, Allpoint, and shared branching networks.
• Experience supporting branch modernization initiatives, including cash-lite, hub-and-spoke, or traditional branch transformation strategies.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to ATM operations, including BSA/AML, Regulation E, and ADA accessibility standards.
• Experience working with ATM original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including NCR Atleos, Diebold Nixdorf, Hyosung, or similar providers, in implementation, evaluation, or advisory engagements.
