What does an ATM Machine Technician do?

An ATM Machine Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). Their duties include diagnosing mechanical and software issues, replenishing cash or supplies, and ensuring machines are secure and operational. They often work for banks, financial institutions, or third-party service providers and may also perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Strong technical skills and customer service abilities are essential for this role.

How do I become an ATM technician?

What is the highest paid technician job?

Among technician roles, specialized fields such as aerospace, petroleum, and nuclear technicians tend to have the highest salaries. For example, nuclear technicians often earn higher wages due to the technical complexity and safety requirements of their work, which may require advanced certifications and security clearances.
