Job description

IT System Administrator in Wilsonville, OR Job Summary

The IT System Administrator oversees, maintains, and secures the organization's hybrid IT infrastructure, encompassing SaaS applications, on-premises data centers, and enterprise network environments. This role acts as a Tier 2/3 escalation point, balancing hands-on end-user support with high-level infrastructure design, automated provisioning, disaster recovery, and security compliance to protect a global, hybrid workforce.

 

Responsibilities
  • Provide system administration ownership for a variety of third party applications and SaaS Solutions such as: Atlassian, Google Workspace, MS365, Slack, Zoom, and others.
  • Administer Windows Server Environment technologies including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Network Policy, and Certificate Authorities.
  • Manage and integrate SaaS solutions with cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) solutions (SSO, MFA, etc).
  • Build, manage and monitor on-premise data center environments with networking, hypervisors, virtual machines, and shared storage.
  • Manage infrastructure security and client authentication through an internal PKI and NAC system.
  • Manage infrastructure backups and manage processes, ensuring compliance with established policies. Test and document disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
  • Establish and compose processes and documentation to drive the adoption of new IT technologies and cloud applications.
  • Manage and configure a RMM or similar monitoring system for IT systems.
  • Implement technologies and develop processes to secure and protect a hybrid and remote workforce (ie. Zero Trust, UEM)
  • Provide world-class end-user support for issues escalated to Infrastructure or Systems teams for US and Globally based users.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of IT systems administration and systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with scripts utilizing Powershell, BASH/shell, python, perl or other language to automate tasks with application APIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with business owners on cross functional projects.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize incoming tasks, utilizing ticket queues such as Service Now, or Jira to support business users as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 escalation.
  • Understanding of enterprise identity and account management and administration through Active Directory, Azure AD, and SAML Identity providers, including implementing data flow for SaaS APIs to automate provisioning (REST and SCIM).
  • Understanding enterprise security utilizing a PKI, certificates, and encryption.
  • Strong working experience of networking(Cisco/Meraki), server administration (Windows), storage systems (Netapp), and virtualization (VMware).
  • Experience working in an ISO 27001, ITIL/SOX/SOC, or other regulated environment that conducts audits and company reviews.
Education and Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field (i.e. Information System) or equivalent professional work experience.
  • MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) (optional)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus.
