Job description

We are looking for an Atlassian Implementation Engineer. This role you will lead end-to-end internal implementation and configuration of Atlassian products including Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery. Configure and optimize the environment using Atlassian best practices, establish governance and standards, design workflows and permissions, support data migration, implement automations, create dashboards and reporting, and ensure the platform is scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and project management processes.


Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver Atlassian platform solutions that align with business objectives and operational needs.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process requirements and convert them into effective Jira and Confluence configurations.

• Build and refine workflows, permission structures, automation rules, queues, and service management features to support scalable operations.

• Configure and enhance Jira Service Management environments, including service desk functionality and reporting capabilities.

• Act as a trusted advisor on Atlassian best practices, recommending improvements that increase platform adoption and usability.

• Support the integration of Marketplace applications and connected tools to expand functionality across the Atlassian ecosystem.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and maintain reliable platform performance.

• Contribute to ongoing platform evolution through documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist with advanced initiatives such as Jira Product Discovery enablement, API-based integrations, ScriptRunner usage, or cloud-related implementation efforts when needed.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience administering and implementing Atlassian solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• Proven ability to configure workflows, permissions, automation, service requests, and reporting features.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into well-structured technical solutions.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps and system integrations.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships across technical and business teams.
• Atlassian certifications are preferred.
• Exposure to Jira Product Discovery, APIs, ScriptRunner, cloud implementations, or Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.
