Job description

Position Summary: 
As a Penske Systems Administrator - Atlassian, you will be working with the IT organization, agile practice, and governance teams to support the SDLC and other processes with the Atlassian tools. You will research, create, configure, test, administrate and maintain JIRA, Confluence, various integrations, and plugins both in the Cloud and On Premise. Your primary objective will be the technical oversight and administration for the suite of Atlassian products used across IT. You'll work directly with various teams across the org to support, maintain, and build solutions to support the strategy and growth of the IT Org. 

Penske Responsibilities: 
Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software and Confluence.
Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions schemes to projects. 
Confluence environment, space administration - Space creation and settings permissions for security 
Integrate various services internal and external to the enterprise. 
Create and provide support for JIRA projects, queries, and reports. 
Create and maintain custom workflows, screens, fields, and templates, and provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance. 
Work with the server and database team to assure solid administration of the servers and Oracle environments supporting the Atlassian tools. 
Research, evaluate, install, configure, test, and manage add-ons, plug-ins, and extensions. 
Manage and update software and licenses. 
Research and implement Atlassian best practices. 
Contribute in discussions regarding security, privacy, and governance within our Atlassian suite. 
Act as the SME for JIRA-related projects and assess/implement new capabilities as needed throughout the organization. 
Troubleshoot and fix errors common to Jira applications. 
Provide day-to-day operational support activities as well as strategic planning initiatives involving JIRA.
Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language) 
Other projects/tasks as assigned.

Penske Qualifications:

Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
Experience with JQL, REST, Groovy.
Experience implementing Atlassian Plugins.
Manage all JIRA enhancements and releases following a formal change management process.
Ability to comfortably discuss technical concepts with engineers on your team, or with vendors.
Collaborating with other support staff, application owners, and users to build solutions and prioritize efforts.
Atlassian Certified Administrator preferred.
Familiarity with operating systems.
Basic level of understanding of networks, security and databases.
Basic understanding of Linux.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
