Job Description
The Payroll Specialist plays a key role in supporting Atlas employees by ensuring they are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with all applicable laws. This role supports trust, stability, and financial well-being across the organization by maintaining reliable payroll processes and clear communication.
You'll work closely with Corporate Functions to process payroll, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records-helping Atlas teams stay focused on delivering meaningful, community-impacting work.
Core Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Apply deductions, overtime, bonuses, and other pay variables correctly
  • Reconcile payroll data prior to processing and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain payroll records in compliance with company policy and legal requirements
  • Support payroll reporting, including tax filings and year-end documents (W-2s, 1099s)
  • Respond to employee payroll questions with clarity, care, and professionalism

You'll thrive here if you have
  • An associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior experience in payroll or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations
  • Experience with ADP payroll systems (ADP Lyric preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills for reviewing and organizing payroll data
  • A detail-oriented mindset and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
