Position Summary
General Atlantic is looking to hire a Product Manager to drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of data and analytics products that power decision-making across the firm's investment, finance, and operations teams. This role will focus on building and scaling analytical experiences such as dashboards, reports, and self-service tools that enable stakeholders to access trusted, timely insights.
You will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., Investment, Capital Solutions, Finance, Human Capital), data engineers, BI developers, and application teams, translating business needs into well-defined product requirements with clear outcomes and measurable value. This position will report directly to the Vice President of IT Product Management.
Responsibilities
Product strategy & roadmap
  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for GA's core data and analytics platforms, aligned to firm and departmental priorities
  • Translate business goals into clear problem statements and outcome-oriented use cases (e.g., portfolio analytics, fundraising and investor reporting, operational dashboards)
  • Partner with technology leadership to evaluate build vs. buy decisions and shape the overall product strategy

Requirements, backlog, and stakeholder engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders to capture, refine, and prioritize enhancements and new product requests
  • Facilitate requirements sessions, translate business needs into well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and maintain a prioritized backlog in tools such as Jira
  • Communicate roadmap and release plans to stakeholders; manage expectations and trade-offs across competing priorities

Delivery & execution
  • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and application teams to design solutions, validate feasibility, and ensure requirements are well-defined
  • Lead end-to-end delivery for data products, including design, development, testing, launch, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and oversee execution with business partners
  • Prepare concise status updates and materials for working teams and senior stakeholders

Analytics, adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Define and track KPIs to measure product adoption, performance, and business impact
  • Gather feedback, analyze usage patterns, and iterate on product features and documentation to improve usability and value
  • Contribute to data governance practices including definitions, access controls, and stewardship for key data domains

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree in a business or technology field is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with exposure to data platforms, analytics, or business intelligence products
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into product requirements and executable roadmaps with clear milestones
  • Familiarity with data and analytics concepts such as data warehouses, BI/visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI), and ETL processes - deep technical expertise not required
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders and tailor messages for senior executives
  • Experience working within Agile or hybrid SDLC methodologies; familiarity with Jira and Confluence is preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in private equity, alternative investments, or financial services is preferred
