Job description

ADVANCE is a second generation, family-owned weighing solution and equipment service provider. Our corporate headquarters is in Southern New Jersey, with additional office locations in Northern NJ, Long Island, NY, Reading, PA, and Rosedale, MD.

We are seeking experienced, Field Service Scale Technicians to fill a position as a full-time, employee in the greater Mid-Atlantic region. Candidates must be willing to travel daily, as most of the work performed is on-site at our customers' location. The work environment changes daily from clean pharmaceutical and food environments to rock and sand quarries.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS—

  • Directly assist customers on site with all scale related problems and installations, in a timely manner
  • Install and service of various weighing products of all capacities
  • Keep up-to-date with new weighing industry trends and how they apply to varying configurations
  • Must maintain professional customer relations skills
  • Prepare and complete timely and accurate administrative documentation (i.e. Service Work Orders, Calibration Reports, ISO 17025 Reports)
  • Provide good mathematical skills, scale drawings and configurations
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronics at the component level
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office on Windows based computers
  • Demonstrate familiarity and proficiency in the use of appropriate testing equipment
  • Must be prepared to travel as required to perform job tasks on customer sites
  • Ability to physically lift and carry a minimum of 100 lbs.—50 lbs. in each hand
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving history; candidate may be required to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
