Monday - Friday, nights and weekends to commiserate with sports schedules.
Pay Rate
$14.00/hour
Minimum Experience/Education
  • Recent college graduates with a background in broadcasting, communications or sport management. Experience working within an NCAA Division I athletics department

  • Understanding of fundamentals of camera and video equipment operation

  • Experience with video switching, replay systems, audio equipment and Ross XPression

  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a professional way

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
  • Able to handle several projects at once and meet tight deadlines

  • Possession of a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and move heavy camera equipment around

  • Ability to learn, contribute and thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment

  • Interest in learning Adobe Creative Suite or intermediate experience is preferred

  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as a production assistant on game day

  • Assist with the operation of broadcast equipment such as switchers, replay systems, and graphic systems

  • Set-up for broadcasts on the ESPN Digital Network

  • Help in maintaining production and crew calendar as needed

  • Train student operators on camera techniques and broadcast equipment usage

  • Assist with creating and implementing graphics content needed to "tell the story" during live events

  • Help with the execution of special events related to the Charlotte 49ers Athletics Department
