Job Description:
Under the direction of Sun Devil Athletics Ticketing leadership, the Account Executive, Ticket Sales is responsible for maximizing ticket revenue and attendance for Sun Devil ticketed sports, with a primary emphasis on season ticket packages, mini plans, and other ticket products. This role focuses on proactive outreach, relationship-building, and delivering outstanding customer experiences that drive new business, retention, and long-term fan loyalty.
The Account Executive, Ticket Sales will generate revenue through targeted sales efforts including outbound calls, face-to-face meetings, networking events, referrals, digital campaigns, and game day activations. This position will focus on identifying prospective season ticket holders, cultivating relationships with current and former customers, and creating personalized ticket package solutions that enhance the overall fan experience.
The ideal Account Executive, Ticket Sales is a competitive, self-motivated communicator who brings energy, resilience, organization, and a service-oriented approach to building relationships and generating revenue in a structured, fast-paced, and supportive environment with established guidelines.
This role provides opportunities for career advancement within Sun Devil Athletics Ticketing, including merit-based progression to Sr. Account Executive and leadership positions. This position adheres to NCAA and Big 12 rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of Sun Devil Athletics, Arizona State University, and the Arizona Board of Regents.
Position Salary Range:
  • $42,000 plus commissions

Essential Duties:
  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual revenue goals through strategic season ticket and ticket package sales efforts
  • Meet and exceed daily fan interaction, outreach, appointment-setting, and sales activity goals as established by Ticketing leadership
  • Generate new sales leads through prospecting, referrals, networking events, digital engagement, and community outreach initiatives
  • Identify, qualify, and convert prospective season ticket holders and mini plan buyers through consultative sales techniques
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with current, former, and prospective ticket holders to drive retention, upsell opportunities, and referrals
  • Proactively engage current customers regarding renewals, seat upgrades, add-on opportunities, and additional ticket package offerings
  • Conduct sales presentations, stadium tours, and in-person meetings to educate fans on the value and benefits of Sun Devil Athletics ticket memberships
  • Utilize CRM and ticketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Paciolan, Ticketmaster) to track sales performance, manage customer interactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely follow-up
  • Achieve individual performance metrics related to revenue generation, outbound activity, appointments, renewals, retention, and attendance growth
  • Assist in executing ticket sales campaigns, promotional initiatives, and membership events designed to increase fan engagement and season ticket retention
  • Represent Sun Devil Athletics at events, games, networking functions, and community appearances while performing various ticket sales and service responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire ticket member lifecycle to create memorable fan experiences and long-term loyalty
  • Maintain a positive, team-first and customer-first attitude in a collaborative work environment

3 months or more ticket sales experience.
Working Environment:
  • Sun Devil Athletics Ticketing is located within Sun Devil Athletics at Mountain America Stadium. Sun Devil Athletics recruits, retains, and develops a workforce community focused on providing opportunities for student-athletes to achieve the highest levels of academic and athletic success.
  • Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
  • Evening, weekend, and extended hours may be required during events, games, and peak sales periods.
  • Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks and job performance.
