ATEX is not a traditional manufacturing facility. Our highly automated production and extrusion processes utilize advanced electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process control systems. Position Summary

The Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment and facility systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.

Working closely with Production and Maintenance leadership, this position plays a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement throughout the facility.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated extrusion, winding, and nonwoven process manufacturing equipment.
  • Install, test, and commission new equipment and plant improvements.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support facility maintenance, utilities, and support equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, clamp lifts, and aerial lifts safely.
  • Work closely with Production to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Technical degree, certification, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and industrial controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative maintenance team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
