Job Description
Rasmussen Trucking & Service Center is looking for a Tank Inspector Trainee to learn to inspect propane/gasoline tankers and perform maintenance and repair work on all types of tankers/propane bottles. This is a 3-year training program.
JOB DETAILS:
  • This is family owned and operated company and you will be working in a small group of 1-2 mechanics.
  • We are looking for someone with dedication to his job and they can work independently to accomplish the timeline of goals.
  • Require previous work experience with Semi Truck/Diesel repair for at least 2 years.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inspect, repair and load propane and gasoline bottles.
  • Perform 5 year and annual VK, DEQ and other tank testing.
  • Perform annual DOT inspection on propane and gasoline bottles.
  • Scrape, wire wheel and paint interior and exterior of tanks as needed.
  • Handle and maintain flow of materials and inventory.
  • Follow safety guidelines.
  • Maintain office and shop for a professional and organized appearance.
  • Daily interaction with customers willing to provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have your own tool box and basic tools.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. (assistance with heavier items will be provided.)
  • Ability to work from a platform up to 15 feet high.
  • Must be able to work in all types of environment including, heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
  • Must have safety shoes or boots with a minimum of safety toe and slip-resistant.
