HVAC Installation Technician

Full Job Description

R&L Heating and Cooling is looking for both entry-level and experienced HVAC Installation Technicians to join our team.

In this role, you will install residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, indoor air quality products, and related accessories.

We are looking for dependable team members who take pride in their workmanship, maintain a positive attitude, and are committed to providing customers with a professional installation experience.

Pay

$18–$35 per hour, based on experience

Additional bonus opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and related HVAC equipment
  • Remove and properly dispose of existing equipment
  • Install ductwork, refrigerant piping, gas piping, venting, drain lines, electrical wiring, and accessories
  • Perform startup procedures and test newly installed equipment for proper operation
  • Follow installation instructions, company procedures, local codes, and manufacturer requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
  • Protect customers’ homes and property during installations
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members
  • Complete installation paperwork and document job details
  • Assist other installers and technicians as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies and industry standards

Qualifications

  • Previous HVAC installation experience or HVAC-related education is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • EPA certification preferred
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, electrical components, and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in crawlspaces and attics, and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
