L'Infirmier(ere) autorise(e) (Infirmier(ere) des services de pharma specialises), sous la direction du (de la) 
Superviseur(e) des services infirmiers, services de pharma specialises et/ou du (de la) Gestionnaire des 
services infirmiers, services de pharma specialises, administre et surveille les traitements pharmacologiques 
specialises par perfusion, par injection ou par voie orale, a domicile et/ou en clinique. L'infirmier(ere) 
specialise(e) en pharma est responsable de surveiller les patient(e)s pour detecter toute reaction liee a la 
perfusion (en intervenant si necessaire), de documenter avec precision la procedure et de soumettre les 
rapports en temps opportun. L'Infirmier(ere) specialise(e) en pharma-Infirmier(ere) autorise(e)doit 
maintenir une communication efficace avec le (la) Superviseur(e) des services infirmiers specialises ou le (la) 
Gestionnaire des services infirmiers specialises en pharma afin d'assurer la securite et la satisfaction des 
patient(e)s. Une formation en pharmacologie specialisee sera dispensee.

FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILITES 
Elaborer et reviser des plans de soins infirmiers individualises pour chaque patient(e);
Effectuer des evaluations de l'etat de sante des patient(e)s et enseigner les procedures 
d'administration des medicaments;
Obtenir un acces intraveineux par voie peripherique ou d'un acces au catheter central (CCIP, DAVC, 
etc.);
Preparer et administrer divers traitements pharmacologiques specialises par voie intraveineuse ou 
injectable.
Fournir des soins aux patient(e)s en utilisant les competences d'observation, d'evaluation, de 
diagnostic infirmier, de conseil et d'enseignement sanitaire, et signaler tout evenement indesirable 
au (a la) superviseur(e) direct(e) / gestionnaire ou aux parties prenantes requises;
Effectuer les taches infirmieres courantes conformement aux politiques et aux procedures de 
l'entreprise et aux normes provinciales.
Fournir des soins centres sur le (la) patient(e) conformement au plan de soins etabli ou aux 
directives medicales; 
Effectuer des interventions de soins infirmiers specialises impliquant une formation reconnue et des 
competences actuelles qui ont ete demontrees et actualisees conformement aux normes; 
Poursuivre, selon les besoins, les formations liees au role, aux medicaments et a la

JOB SUMMARY 
The Specialty Pharma Nurse - Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Specialty Pharma Supervisor 
and/or Specialty Pharma Nurse Manager, delivers and monitors specialized supervisor, injectable or oral 
pharmacological treatments in the home and/or clinic setting. The Specialty Pharma Nurseis responsible for 
monitoring the patient for infusion related reactions (intervening as required), accurately documenting the 
procedure, and submitting reporting in a timely manner. The Specialty Pharma Nurse - Registered Nurse is 
expected to maintain effective communication with the Specialty Nursing acls and/or Specialty Pharma 
Nurse Manager to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. Specialized pharmacological training will be 
provided. 
This career will allow you to develop a specialty in infusion services with opportunities to attend conferences 
and participate in clinical trials. Bayshore has a focus on nursing education and provides many opportunities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and review nursing care plans that are individualized to each patient.
Conducts patient health assessments and medication administration teaching.
Obtain IV access through peripheral IV initiation or central line access (PICC, IVAD, etc.).
Prepares and administers a variety of specialized intravenous or injectable pharmacological 
treatments.
Provide patient care by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, 
health teaching, and reporting any adverse events to immediate supervisor/ manager or required 
stakeholders.
Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and provincial 
body standards.
Provide patient centered care according to the established care plan or medical directive.
Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competencies 
have been demonstrated and updated per standards.
Maintain role related, medication and pharmacovigilance training as required.
Observe and document patient conditions.
Report and document Adverse Events as per Pharmacovigilance requirements.
Complete all other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS 
Formation
Diplome de baccalaureat en sciences infirmieres (B. Sc. inf.) ou l'equivalent, obtenu dans le cadre 
d'un programme de formation en soins infirmiers accredite; 
Inscription actuelle et en regle aupres de l'organisme provincial de reglementation des soins 
infirmiers;
Certification en cours de validite en soins immediats en reanimation (SIR); 
Une certification en cours de validite en soins avances en reanimation cardiovasculaire (SARC) est 
requise pour le poste en clinique;
Avoir suivi un cours de chimiotherapie ou de biotherapie est un atout.
ACLS requis dans les 3 mois suivant l'embauche; la possession de l'ACLS au moment de 
l'embauche est un atout.
Experience 
Experience en soins de courte duree et/ou dans l'administration de medicaments specialises.
Une experience en soins a domicile est un atout;
Une experience en soins intensifs (par exemple, aux urgences ou en unite de soins intensifs), en 
clinique de perfusion ou en oncologie est preferable; 
Competences exceptionnelles en matiere de mise en place d'une perfusion intraveineuse 
peripherique;
Une experience avec des catheters centraux (DAVC, PICC, etc.) est un atout.
Autres competences et aptitudes 
Competences exceptionnelles en matiere d'evaluation des patient(e)s;
Excellentes competences en communication.
Capable de gerer les relations en offrant un service a la clientele exceptionnel;

Permis de conduire valide.

Education
Graduated from an accredited nursing education program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing 
(BSN) degree or equivalent. 
Current registration and in good standing with provincial nursing regulatory body.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. 
Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for clinic role.
Chemotherapy - Biotherapy education an asset
ACLS: Required within 3 months of hire; current ACLS at time of hire is considered an asset 
(preferred).


Experience 
Experience in acute care and/or with administering specialty pharmaceuticals.
Experience with home care is an asset.
