Job Title: After Hours Coordinator

Location: Remote after On Site Training (Candidates must live within 30 miles of Ann Arbor, MI)ย 

Pay: $13.75 per Hour


This is a remote position that requires active availability during the following times:

Monday: 5:30pm - 6:30pm and 7:30pm - 9pmย 

Tuesday: 5:30pm - 6:30pm and 7:30pm - 9pmย 

Friday: 2:30pm-6:00pm and 7:30pm-9:00pm

Total paid hours: 20 hours bi-weekly



Safe at Home, a proud division of Kennedy Care, provides high-quality, professional nanny services throughout Southeast Michigan. We support individual families with ongoing, personalized care, and partner with organizations such as Michigan State University, University of Michigan, Ford Motor Company, and Bright Horizons to offer reliable backup child care services to their employees.


We're currently seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented After Hours Coordinator to support our child care program. This fully remote, part-time position is perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible work environment and is passionate about helping families thrive.


As the After Hours Coordinator, you will serve as the main point of contact for our existing clients, managing shift scheduling and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth and successful operation of our program. You'll play a key role in upholding Safe at Home's mission of providing trusted, responsive care to children and their families.


Responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

  • Highly attentive to incoming callsย 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to staff and families
  • Scheduling Shifts - handle all open shift requests.ย 
  • Reach out to caregivers to ensure all shifts are scheduledย 
  • Responding to caregivers and families via email, text and phone callsย ย 
  • Management of caregivers on staffย 
  • Resolve escalated client and caregiver issuesย 
  • Maintaining composure in difficult situations
  • Responding to all shift requests in a timely manner
  • Documentationย 
  • Maintaining our fill rateย 
  • Use of electronic software for timekeepingย 
  • Complete assigned training and education as necessaryย
