Description
Under the supervision of the Customer Service Manager and the Guest Experience Supervisor provides customer service to Potter Park and Zoo guests. Keeps work area and inventory in a neat and orderly manner and well stocked. Prepares food to health code safety standards. Performs basic math, counts cash drawer, makes cash drops, prepares various reports and tally sheets.
Essential Functions
  1. Provides excellent customer service to guests.
  2. Keeps work area clean and stocked.
  3. Counts cash register at beginning and end of shift.
  4. Monitors work radio for emergencies and follows all zoo emergency procedures.
  5. Informs supervisor of needed supplies, equipment repair, customer service issues and safety concerns.
  6. Prepares and stores food to health code safety standards.
  7. Prepares reports and tally sheets such as number of daily visitors, parking passes and guest passes.
Other Functions:
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must adhere to departmental standards in regard to HIPAA and other privacy issues. During a public health emergency, the employee may be required to perform duties similar to, but not limited, to those in his/her job description.

Employment Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred.
