Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Delivers professional activities in the Supply Chain job family with a focus on Procure-to-Pay. Provides support in product/service sourcing, supplier selection, and order processing. Contributes to larger projects and process improvement. Makes suggestions for vendor selection and provides feedback for supplier performance management. Applies standard techniques and procedures to routine instructions that require professional knowledge in specialist areas. Provides standard professional advice and creates initial reports/analyses for review.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage day to day purchasing activities by reviewing historical demand, analyzing inventory levels and patient needs. Work with pharmacy operations to establish product/service requirements. Order pharmaceuticals for the pharmacy based of drug inventory requirements. Maintain and verify drug inventory controls are at a level to meet customer demands. Assist the call center management with customer issues and communications when drugs are out of stock. Work with internal customers to understand trends; identify opportunities to optimize inventory & service levels; ensure drug out of stocks are minimized; assist in root cause analysis and corrective action. Communicate with all levels of management and both internal and external customer base and possess solid follow through skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet daily deadlines. Possess solid written and verbal communication skill. Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills and complex problem solving skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage heavy workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Contracting experience preferred.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
