Job Description Assistant Terminal Manager - Denver, COBASIC FUNCTION: Provides work direction to terminal employees, administering policies and programs, and coordinating such activities in the absence and in conjunction with the Terminal Manager.SPECIFIC DUTIES:Assists the Terminal Manager in administering the terminal and provides direction to all terminal employees in his absence.Monitors production schedules to insure that products are shipped on time, and in accordance with customer and ADM specifications.Works with all divisions of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.Insures that all safety procedures and policies are observed by all terminal employees at all times.Conduct safety meeting and Behavior Audits.Identifies training needs, and participates in providing required training of employees.Participate in evaluating staffing levels by monitoring production levels of all employees.Participates in planning decisions, including the purchase of capital equipment, layout changes, production methods and material handling procedures.Controls quality and cost of production, by evaluating "best management practices".Performs special assignment, initiating cost improvements and efficiencies.Will perform the duties of all terminal employees as needed including Maintenance, Loading trucks, unload railcars melting and weekend work.Monitors supplies and materials, and orders as needed.Trains employees on plant operational processes and works with them to develop safety and efficiency skills.Supports ADM core values and communicates company policies, procedures and objectives.Maintains an effective working relationship with terminal employees.Performs any other reasonable or similar duties as required.ADM requires the successful completion of a background check. REF:109935BR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
