Summary:

The Manager Terminal Opeations is responsible for the daily management and operations of the Tirzah and Heath Springs, SC Terminals, and the Blue Ridge Pipeline. Responsibilities encompass Safety, environmental stewardship, organizing, planning, and directing all aspects of daily Terminal operations and maintenance. Ensuring operational excellence, industry leading safety, environmental performance and customer service. This role includes expense accountability and capital plan execution and works directly for the Sr. Manager of Terminal assets. Administers capital and expense budgets annually and is accountable for business results for Terminal systems. Responsible for Terminal related metrics and KPIs. This position currently assists in managing 10 hourly employees and contractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct Terminal workforce and daily operations for safe, environmentally sound, efficient, and profitable product logistics services
  • Oversee execution of daily operating plans
  • Manage performance of operating workforce
  • Identify and investigate operating issues or incidents and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Interface with customers to ensure excellent customer service
  • Measure key performance indicators and utilize periodic reviews to drive business performance
  • Manage MOCs, SAP, PMs, Training, Work Plans, Safety and Environmental.
  • Support Business Development and Engineering in the development and implementation of growth projects
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operations, create competitive advantage and grow earnings
  • Develop, present and implement approved business plan for Terminal systems
Special Considerations:
  • This position is "On-Call" 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Relevant current supervisory / management experience is required for consideration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in LPG terminal operations and/or petroleum logistics operations.
  • Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with customers and senior management as well as Engineering, Business Development, and other departments. Knowledge of pipeline, truck transport, and rail preferred.
  • Knowledge of company procedures and policies is a plus.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Strong systems (IT) knowledge including databases and reporting software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written, oral communication and computer skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work well with supervisors and mechanics.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven team player.
  • Knowledge of HES standards and environmental regulations as they pertain to petrochemical field maintenance work. Petrochemical or industrial field maintenance experience.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Position is based in industrial/manufacturing settings which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
