This is a general management position with the bonus of knowing your work is ultimately improving people's lives. Managing in a hospital environment requires supporting staffing, working with vendors, handling budgets etc. It, also, gives you the opportunity to direct operations that directly impact the health care of others.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Manage a busy Progressive Care Unit
  • Prepare, manage and control budget, monitor and analyze variances.
  • Direct employees to meet all mandatory Human Resource requirements.
  • Complete performance appraisal of staff members.
  • Quality compliance.
  • Oversee the process of assuring the clinical competence of personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care - Required
  • Associates/RN Diploma For those hired on or before 1/1/2019 BSN required within 3 years, any variation has to be approved by the System CNO. - Required
  • 5 years Nursing/Patient Care - Required
  • 2 years Previous managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills - Preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in state of practice - Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
  • Licensure - Nursing Leadership Licensure within 36 months - Preferred
  • Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance Required if required by unit:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association - Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association - Required - if required by unit
