Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) Associate**Location:** Isler CPA, Eugene, Oregon**Job Type:** Full-time**Department:** Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS)**Reports To:** Director of CAASPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) Associate for Isler CPA's growing, fast-paced CAAS department. This in-office position is designed for individuals with an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting who are looking to launch their career in a structured, professional environment. Reporting to the Director of CAAS, you will work directly with a variety of clients to support day-to-day accounting, payroll processing, and financial reporting responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliationsProcess payroll for clients, ensuring timely and accurate filings in compliance with federal, state, and local lawsSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliationsMaintain and update client records in QuickBooks Online, including transaction entry, reporting, and system organizationPrepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of financial statementsCommunicate with clients to gather financial information, respond to inquiries, and provide high-quality supportAssist with the onboarding and setup of new client accountsEnsure confidentiality and professionalism in handling all client financial dataIdentify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in client workflowsOther duties as assigned by the Director of CAAS or other CAAS senior accountantsRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in Accounting or a closely related fieldStrong understanding of basic accounting principles and terminologyProficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is requiredMust be able to demonstrate proficiencyOne year or more of prior experience in public or private accounting utilizing QBOFamiliarity with payroll processes and related tax complianceHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and time management abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a team and independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentMust be able to work on-site full-time; remote or hybrid options are not availablePreferred QualificationsPrior experience in accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping in a public accounting environmentKnowledge of governmental accounting standards (e.g., GASB)Interest in pursuing additional credentials such as CPA or CPPWhat We OfferStructured training and mentorship within a CPA firmHands-on experience with a diverse client baseCompetitive compensation and benefitsSupport for continuing education and professional developmentA collaborative, supportive team environmentIf you're ready to take the next step in your accounting career and thrive in a client-focused, in-office role, we invite you to apply:Resume and cover letter are requiredCover letter should contain the following:Explanation of your familiarity with QuickBooks OnlineDescription of your experience with the accounting cycle, including payroll, bank transactions, and financial statement reportingExample of your ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, emphasizing your process of prioritizing work
