Job Description

As a critical element to successful new strategy implementation, Passion for Life, Inc. is looking for a creative Graphic Designer to join our growing marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help us build our brand identity, as well as support various marketing initiatives. We are seeking self-motivated volunteers who will be key contributors to the Passion for Life, Inc. marketing team. this position will report to the  Marketing team leader.

While the position is unpaid, you will gain valuable hands-on experience. The Graphics designer will be responsible for all aspects of our organization's design process, from advertising, digital design, illustration, or branding. 

A Graphic designers that will use their artistic abilities to communicate ideas, inform consumers, and solve problems. From the layout of a website to large images seen on billboards, graphic designers create visual concepts by hand or by computer to help others interpret the world around them through color, texture, images, and symbols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral

  2. Business development presentations

  3. Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule

  4. Establish creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines

  5. Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions

  6. Perform retouching and manipulation of images

  7. Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Associate's degree or equivalent in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field

  2. 2-5 years of experience in graphic design

  3. Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web

  4. Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred

  5. Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software

  6. Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects

  7. Strong analytical skills

  8. Excellent eye for detail

Time Commitment: 9-10 hours a week including monthly meetings and weekly conference calls
