Job description

Role: UX Researcher
Location: Remote
Duration: 06-month contract with possible extension
Pay Range: $80 - $85/hour on w2
Summary:
We are building a new AI-powered assistant for advertisers. To move faster on which product bets are worth building, the UX Research team is standing up an always-on Custom Research Panel of opted-in advertisers we can engage on demand. We are hiring a Panel Research Contractor to own the execution arc for tactical qualitative studies running on that panel — from research-question scoping through readout — so the panel produces the signal it was built to produce.
Core responsibilities
● Scope research questions from product-team asks and UXR priorities; match each RQ to the right panel study format. Partner with area UX Researchers to ensure panel studies complement (not duplicate) area-owned research.
● Draft discussion guides, screeners, and task protocols for sprint-end qualitative, concept testing, bespoke, and weekly engagement studies. Route drafts through UXR review before fielding.
● Moderate live sessions (remote) and design/moderate async studies (AI moderator, dscout, etc.)
● Code data, draft findings, and produce sprint-end and concept-test readouts. Contribute to cross-Area synthesis via the shared insights substrate.
Required experience
● 3+ years of qualitative research execution (in-depth interviews, diary studies, concept testing, usability)
● Moderation fluency
● Comfort operating in a fast-moving product environment and how to engage with cross-functional partners (Product Manager, Product Designer, Engineer, etc.)
● SMB or B2B research background is a plus
● AI-native execution (or willingness to learn) — expected to use AI tools to accelerate study design, analysis, and readout drafting
Key Projects/Day-to-Day
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day work is anchored to the Custom Research Panel — an always-on pool of opted-in advertisers we engage on demand for tactical research.
