Job description

BKM Capital Partners is a growing firm and we are looking for hardworking professionals that want to grow with us. Located in our Newport Beach, California office, the Associate, Treasury will play an integral role within the Finance team by providing overall treasury strategies for the company.

This role is in office 5 days a week due to the collaboration nature of this role.

The Job Essentials:

Strategy Development

  • Assist with the development of BKM’s treasury strategy, including cash management, forecasting and cash position reporting

Treasury Management

  • Oversee AR, portfolio collections and tenant rent statements
  • Manage accuracy of daily cash position reporting and liquidity
  • Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing/loan draw needs and funds available for investment
  • Manage company-wide bank account structure, maintaining a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
  • Oversee liquidity needs across the company’s portfolio of assets
  • Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  • Advise management on liquidity impacts of its short-term/long-term initiatives
  • Oversee bank account administration, new account creation and KYC processes
  • Monitor company-wide exposure to financial institutions
  • Review wire and ACH transaction activity

Relationship Management

  • Participate in business development with new banking/treasury relationships
  • Manage existing treasury relationships, becoming a key point of contact

The Qualifiers:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, economics, or related field required
  • 3+ years of proven experience in treasury related functions
  • Advanced Excel capabilities
  • Experience in multi-tenant industrial properties a plus
  • A general understanding of commercial real estate terms and investment principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking with a keen attention to detail
  • Motivated and results-driven with strong work ethic
