**Responsibilities**

* **Test Automation & Development**: Design, implement, and maintain robust automated test suites for validating software across our concept devices, various builds, and release environments.
* **Comprehensive Test Coverage**: Build reusable automated tests covering functional, regression, smoke, performance, and critical release validation scenarios.
* **Execution & Analysis**: Execute automated test plans, scenarios, and procedures, meticulously analyzing test results, investigating failures, reproducing issues, and providing clear diagnostic information to engineering teams.
* **Quality Assurance**: Ensure automated test coverage thoroughly validates critical functionality, high-priority scenarios, and release-blocking risks.
* **Documentation**: Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, procedures, scripts, execution reports, and coverage summaries.
* **Framework Contribution**: Partner with senior engineers to contribute to the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks.
* **CI/CD Integration**: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous validation and provide rapid feedback loops.
* **Best Practices**: Contribute to automation best practices, framework design discussions, and test infrastructure improvements.
* **Defect Management**: Identify, document, and escalate software defects, quality risks, and potential release blockers using bug tracking systems.
* **Issue Resolution**: Monitor bug resolution efforts, verify fixes, and support issue closure, maintaining documentation of known defects and recurring failures.
* **Risk Reporting**: Collaborate with project leadership to report automation coverage, test results, defect trends, and quality risks, providing recommendations for improving test effectiveness and product quality.
* **Release Validation**: Plan, coordinate, and execute automated validation for software releases, including scheduling, strategy, regression testing, and post-release verification.
* **Feedback & Readiness**: Provide actionable feedback on software stability, readiness, and outstanding risks to ensure successful product launches.
* **Environment Setup**: Deploy, configure, and maintain prototype devices and test environments for automated test execution, conducting automated smoke tests to confirm readiness.
* **Configuration Documentation**: Document hardware configurations, test environments, automation setups, and related issues.

**Required Qualifications**

* Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 5-7 years of relevant experience in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
* Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites.
* Experience testing software across various builds, devices, environments, or release pipelines.
* Proficiency in test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, test procedures, and test result reports.
* Strong ability to analyze test results, diagnose failures, and provide actionable recommendations.
* Experience documenting defects in bug tracking systems and collaborating effectively with software developers through resolution.
* Familiarity with CI/CD test integration and automated validation workflows.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with engineering, product management, and project leadership teams.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Significant hands-on experience with provisioning and configuring Android / AOSP devices.
* Prior experience with Android platform or device testing, especially within an AOSP-based enterprise operating system environment.
