Electrical Cabin and Network System Design Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking multiple innovative and adaptable Electronic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join our Integrated Cabin & Cargo Systems team in Everett and Renton, WA.

Position Overview:

At Boeing, we are dedicated to defining and integrating advanced electrical systems across our commercial fleet. Our projects focus on translating high-level concepts and requirements into specific architectures and operational specifications, ensuring the seamless physical integration of electrical systems and components within our complex aircraft.

We collaborate with a global supplier network to implement cutting-edge system hardware and software, validating our designs through rigorous laboratory and in-flight testing. Our engineers work on aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and throughout their production lifecycle, continually pushing the boundaries of innovation in commercial air transport.

This position will specifically involve working with Cabin Systems, which encompasses interior lighting, passenger address systems, seatback video, passenger connectivity, satellite connections, in-flight entertainment, and more. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Electronic Systems Design and Analysis Engineers. Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Designs hardware, software and interface specifications

  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

  • Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs

Work Authorization:

This position is required to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett or Renton, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

  • Experience working in an electrical design engineering environment (with emphasis on electronic and electrical systems design and analysis).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with Flight Management Systems

  • Pilot's license and/or experience working in the flight deck

  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
