Position Summary

As the Associate Applications Engineer - Mechanical you willassistwith the integration of power generation equipment in customer projects by supporting design, documentation, and verification activities. This role collaborates with internal teams and vendors to ensure compliance with industry standards and provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

What you will be doing

  • Assistwith the design and development of walk-in enclosures, housing, and system requirements for generator sets, KPP, BESS, and related systems.
  • Support the preparation, submission, and tracking of RFIs, and review C/D&E documents to ensure client expectations and project documentation are met.
  • Assistin verifying manufacturing drawings, P&I diagrams, schematics, and data sheets for compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Research and analyze requirements from engineering standards, contracts, and proposals; review and compare customer specifications against MTU designs and vendor proposals.
  • Support the preparation and finalization of equipment specifications, collaborate with internal teams forcomponentprocurement, and coordinate with vendors for production release.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering 2+ years of Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical engineering experience or related field, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering, OR
  • JD/PhD in Engineering, OR

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proficiencyin MS Office suite, BIM360, drafting tools, CAD software, SAP, Windchill, Creo, MS Project, and engineering collaboration tools.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or OSHA30 certification.
  • Hands-on experience with control systems, PLC programming, and parameter changes.
  • Experience working with reciprocating internal combustion engines and exhaust gas treatment systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
